The FDA has approved another natural dye for use in foods, continuing its war on artificial, petroleum-based food colorings.
The new color is gardinea blue and is extracted from the
Nestle and Conagra have promised to eliminate artificial colors from their U.S. food and beverages.
They are the latest big food companies to make such a pledge.
