Aldi’s Casa Mamita Churro Bites recalled for undeclared milk allergen

Camerican International of Paramus, NJ, is recalling 7.05 oz boxes of Aldi Brand Casa Mamita Churro Bites Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Cream because of undeclared milk.

This poses a serious or life-threatening risk to individuals with milk allergies or severe sensitivities.

The recall was prompted by a consumer report indicating that the milk-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not disclose the presence of milk. The issue was traced to a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes, which has since been corrected.

The recalled products were distributed to select Aldi stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

As of the posting of this recall, no illnesses have been reported.

Consumers with milk allergies or sensitivities are urged not to consume the product and should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
