Yellowstone Baked Beans recalled because of undeclared soy

Vietti Food Group of Nashville, TN, is recalling 4,515 cases of its Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans (15 oz.) because of undeclared soy. This allergen poses a serious or life-threatening risk to individuals with soy allergies or sensitivities.

The recall was initiated after the presence of soy was identified in the product, which was distributed without proper allergen labeling.

The affected product was shipped to retailers across 23 states: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported as of the posting of this recall.

Consumers with soy allergies are urged not to consume the product and should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
