Company recalls cookies because of consumer complaints about rancid taste

Legally Addictive Foods,  of Weaverville, NC, is recalling an unspecified quantity of its “The O.G. Cookies” because of consumer complaints of a rancid taste.

The recall, initiated on Oct. 31, 2024, is classified as a Class II recall, indicating a low risk of serious health consequences, though temporary or reversible effects may occur.

The recall remains ongoing, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The affected products were distributed to stores in Illinois and Pennsylvania.

As of the posting of this recall, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this issue.

Consumers are urged not to consume the recalled cookies and should discard the product or return it to the place of purchase. Businesses should cease selling or distributing the affected lots.
